Israel is expanding its military control inside the Gaza Strip despite the US-brokered ceasefire, with new forced evacuation orders raising fears among Palestinians already displaced by the war. Nearly two-thirds of Gaza is now reported to lie beyond the so-called yellow line, the boundary established under US President Donald Trump's 20-point peace plan.

Al Jazeera's Ibrahim Al-Khalili reports from Gaza City, where Palestinians face renewed displacement as the Israeli military expands its control. The report examines the impact of shifting boundaries and continuing Israeli attacks, including a strike on a residential building in Deir el-Balah that left widespread destruction and forced families to sleep outdoors.

A professor of international law also questions whether Trump's peace plan can end Israel's occupation, citing the International Court of Justice's 2024 advisory opinion on the occupied Palestinian territory.

Meanwhile, in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian olive farmers face attacks by Israeli settlers during the harvest season. Israeli rights group B'Tselem says settler violence and restrictions on access to farmland are contributing to displacement and the loss of Palestinian land and livelihoods.

The report examines the continuing impact of Israeli military operations, settlement expansion and displacement on Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
