Moxa saved me 😭
Ever heard of moxa aka moxibustion? I’ve tried so many types of moxa (dragon bone, moxa stick, etc), which all use a special ingredient called mugwort to heat the body🔥
Why is heat and mugwort important you ask? In TCM, many health issues like cramps, low energy, and freezing hands are linked to ‘cold and damp’ accumulation in the body. And this is where moxa comes in… 🍃🚬
The interesting thing is it’s not just surface heat you’d get with a heat pad. Moxa heats MUCH deeper. Think heat from a lightbulb vs heat from the sun☀️ In TCM, mugwort has strong yang energy, and when burned it penetrates the body deeply to expel cold and dampness in the body. Its warmth helps unblock stagnation of blood and qi - which is crucial for healing.
And for women, moxa is *especially* helpful. My TCM doctor told me that around 70-80% of her female patients have signs of cold in their system. Yikessss. 🥶
Every month we lose blood (warmth and nourishment), so if it’s not replenished the body gets colder, leading to a BUNCH of women’s health issues (irregular cycles, painful periods, fertility issues, fatigue and so on).

My ULTIMATE healing soup 🍲 *drink this everyday*
This recipe has been passed down through generations from my parents, my TCM doctor, and now I'll show you how to make it! It's one of the easiest recipes, and my go-to for when you have stomach and digestion issues and are feeling dry 😵💫
Growing up this was actually one of my favorite soups that both my parents would make very often, and I loved it because as a kid I loved the sweetness of corn, and this soup didn't have any “weird” herbal ingredients. But it’s also a classic you’ll see in a lot of Chinese families.
If you haven’t seen our previous video, I showed you the ultimate herbal chicken soup that helps with female period issues, but this one is just as delicious and helps with deep nourishment inside and out 😊
